Frustration, Anger, and Rage are three of the nastiest dwarves you’ll never want to have lunch with!
The reason she is “angry all the time” is because of the recalibration of her hormones and the frustration she experiences with the menopause transformation process.
Before these changes she was accustomed to a 30 day cycle where her body would be temporarily flooded with hormones to flush the uterus lining and the unfertilized egg from her body, resetting the fertility process like clockwork.
During perimenopause she can't trust her familiar menstrual cycle or trust what her periods are going to be like, how long they are going to last, whether they are going to be heavy or light, whether or not they are going to go for extended periods of time, or not even happen at all.
As part of hormonal recalibration, she may actually have a drawdown of hormones that make her feel anxious, sad, depressed, or overwhelmed. She may also experience random imbalance surges of hormones at levels different from what she is accustomed to causing surges of irritation, anger, and sudden rage.
Again, it varies from woman to woman
Here's an important and informative video on this topic.
